Step-by-Step OBS Configuration Checklist:
Step 1. Add Source

In OBS Studio or Streamlabs, look under Sources, click +, and choose Browser.

Step 2. Paste URL

Paste your generated Corner or Ticker URL into the URL field.

Step 3. Set Dimensions

Enter Width: 460 / Height: 220 for Corner (or 1920 × 120 for Ticker). FPS: 60.

Step 4. Transparency

Leave Custom CSS as transparent. Check Shutdown source when not visible and click OK.

Autonomous Telemetry: The overlay polls our FastAPI backend every 8 seconds. Whenever you start a stream, switch realms, or when server player counts fluctuate, the overlay updates on your broadcast automatically without restarting OBS!

Hosting Live Events & Dynamic Server Whitelisting

Allow your stream viewers to play with you on ARK, Myth of Empires, Valheim, or Conan during live broadcasts.

1. Start Event

When going live, initiate your session using either method:

Discord Slash Command:
/stream_start game:"ARK: Survival Ascended" duration_hours:4
Or via Web Portal:

Open the Streamer Operations tab and click Start Live Stream Session.

2. Dynamic Whitelist

The cluster daemon springs into action:

  • All viewers who redeemed your code are injected into the server whitelist.
  • Your voice stage (🔊 Stage) unlocks for stream guests.
  • Web portal displays your stream status as LIVE.
  • Discord posts an announcement in #streamer-ops.
3. End Session

When your broadcast concludes:

If you forget, our background watcher safely revokes temporary guest passes automatically when the lease expires!

Managing Your Personal Category Roost & Stage

Text Lounge Operator Rights

In your dedicated lounge (e.g. #kokabiel-lounge or #deevs-lounge):

  • Full Channel Admin: Pin messages, delete troll comments, manage threads.
  • Media Freedom: Attach screenshots, videos, and custom raid clips.
  • Go-Live Alerts: Ping @everyone when you go live without moderation restrictions.
Voice Stage Operator Rights

In your voice stage (e.g. 🔊 Kokabiel Stage or 🔊 Deevs Stage):

  • Priority Speaker: Your voice automatically ducks background Discord audio so viewers hear you over raid chaos.
  • Member Control: Server Mute, Deafen, or Move members out of your stage if anyone causes audio feedback.
How Community Members Follow Your Roost

Difficult Roosters members can follow any combination of official streamers! Community members can type /streamer_follow in Discord to open the multi-select follow menu, or directly run /streamer_follow streamer:@YourName to join your backstage roost.

Embedded Live Twitch Player

When you save your Twitch URL on the Web Portal, an official Twitch player is embedded directly inside the Difficult Roosters Web Portal.

  • Visitors browsing cluster rates and player counts can watch your stream directly without leaving our site.
  • Live chat is synchronized directly through Twitch's embedded system.
How to link: Head to the Streamer Operations tab on the portal, enter your Twitch URL, and click Save Creator Bio & Streamer Links.
